Camping Problems

OK folks so just got home from a well eventful camping trip at Strawberry Reservoir in Utah. It had the weird weather issues the state has been experiencing, but that's not the strange issue I writing about. My concern started under the Clinton administration. What I have discovered was that some private people have been able to lease the campsites closest to the reservoir, and they charge daily access fees to stay there.
OK I understand that there are costs associated with the land and they are paying lease fees to the government. But where does the lease money received go? not to the free camping spots that are set up away from the lake that's for sure. I tell you all that the roads are not super friendly to access, but still with the high problems of the economy, free is more attractive for sure.
Well the moral of the story for sure is don't look a free gift horse in the mouth, and take what you can get for sure... HA HA
